Yes…Not satisfied with just the observation of the Nova Scotia salt performance we sought geological confirmation of its uniqueness and found that Nova Scotia salt has a distinctive geological evolution starting about 350 million years ago. More specifically a huge basin now called the Avalon Terrane filled with sea water about 340 million years ago. Repeated flooding and drying over the next 15 million years had the effect of eliminating some of the undesirable deposits that are produced with other mined salts.
